In the gleaming starlight,
A child looks out the window,
Staring upon the heavens,
Mesmerized by the unearthly glow,
Like a moth and a garden lamp.
From the heavens,
Rocks of unknown origin have fallen,
Blessing our planet with life.
Even though that life was microscopic,
It changed our planet in infinite ways.
Whether it was for good or for evil,
The heavens have brought together,
Many people in many ways.
From a moonlight gathering of secret lovers,
To a midnight worship.
The heavens above,
Have a great impact on our lives.
